Mono no aware

To speak of mono no aware is to acknowledge the quiet ache at the heart of the world. It is the "pathos of things"—a bittersweet recognition that the pulse of life is defined by its inevitable fading.
In my work, this is not a hollow sadness, but a resonant acceptance that transience is the very soil from which our existence grows. I seek to inhabit the space between the blooming and the wilting, finding truth not in the permanent, but in the passing.

These images do not serve as mere skeletons of a vanished moment; they are not attempts to arrest time. Instead, they are mirrors held up to the soft fragility of the human spirit. Each frame acts as a sanctuary for the temporary, capturing the exquisite vulnerability of a world that is constantly becoming something else.
